2010 SAFETY AWARD

During the BUILD 2010 CHBA-Alberta annual conference held in Jasper the home builders association recognized members that have demonstrated a commitment to safe employees and worksites. 
All safety award winning members hold their Certificate of Recognition (COR) in safety, have low lost time claim rates and have demonstrated safety service to the industry.  

Southern Safety is the proud recipient of the 2010 Safety Award in the Small Employer General Member category.

Annually the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ASCA) holds an "AWARDS" reception and banquet to honor various member contributions. Each ACSA region can nominate a member, and in this case, the Lethbridge Regional Safety Committee (LRSC) considered Kevin R. Worrall, owner of Southern Safety, deserving of an award.

The 19th Annual "AWARDS" Ceremony was held March 29, 2008 at the Edmonton Marriott/River Cree Resort. Kevin R. Worrall, CRSP was the proud recipient of the "PACE SETTER" award for his dedication and contributions to safety within the construction industry.

In addition to Kevin's "safety" dedication and contributions the other criteria to be nominated for this award included: - attending at least 50% of the Regional Safety Committee Meetings, - participated on ad hoc committees during the year - participated and assisted in local committee functions, and - promoted ACSA provincial initiatives.
