ON-LINE W.H.M.I.S.

Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System

This computer based "generic" W.H.M.I.S. training is designed to comply with Federal and Provincial legislative requirements. NOTE: This program has NOT been designed to replace the workplace specific elements of the legislated requirements.

The program is as accessible as your keyboard, 24 hours a day, at home or at work. There are four elements or segments to the training:

- Background and explanation of the W.H.M.I.S. Legislation

- Hazards

- Workplace labels, and

- Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

Participants can work through the four modules of the program in one session or several sessions. Testing occurs at the end of each module. The system marks the tests and for successful participants you print out a Certificate directly from your computer.

The system requirements you need are: Pentium II PC or Macintosh equivalent, Video Card, Flash Player V5 or better (a free download is available), Sound Card and Speakers, Internet Explorer 5 or newer; an Internet connection and a printer.
